Thousands enjoy ‘the greatest show’ at Tamworth’s free fireworks event

Thousands of people packed into Tamworth Castle Grounds for the 10th annual free fireworks extravaganza with many people hailing it the best event to date.
Estimated crowds of more than 26,000 visited the town for Saturday’s spectacular, where they were treated to fire performers, fairground rides, walkabout characters, face painting, music played by Touch FM, food stalls and a surprise ‘Greatest Showman’ theme.

Exciting new season of events revealed for Tamworth

Fireworks, Christmas lights, a special visit from Peter Rabbit, Remembrance parades, an attack of art and music concerts are among the highlights of Tamworth Borough Council’s exciting new season of events.

The council’s Arts and Events team have been working hard to create a new and varied line up of shows and acts for Tamworth families and visitors to enjoy over the coming months.

The sun shone as thousands of families enjoyed a great day of entertainment and activities as part of the 2018 We Love Tamworth event in the Castle Grounds.
Tamworth Borough Council’s Arts & Events team were delighted that a beautiful and warm day welcomed estimated crowds of around 6,000 people to the Castle Grounds on Saturday, September 1.

Countdown is on to mammoth fun day as We Love Tamworth returns to popular park

The countdown is on to the popular We Love Tamworth extravaganza which returns to the Castle Grounds next week, bringing with it a jam-packed day of activities for the whole family.
Presented by Tamworth Borough Council’s Arts & Events team, We Love Tamworth will be back on Saturday, September 1, between 11am and 4pm, and is now in its sixth year. The exciting event brings a variety of entertainment for the day including fairground rides, games, children’s zone, a dog show and dozens of stalls.

We Love Tamworth returns and celebrates Tamworth’s proud heritage

The popular We Love Tamworth extravaganza returns to the Castle Grounds in less than one month, bringing with it a jam-packed day of activities for the whole family and celebrates some of Tamworth’s rich heritage.

Presented by Tamworth Borough Council’s Arts & Events team, We Love Tamworth will be back on September 1 and is now in its sixth year. The exciting event brings a variety of entertainment for the day including fairground rides, games, children’s zone, a dog show, girl guiding parade and new for this year a ‘musical junk’ attraction called ‘Wheeze’.
