Assembly Rooms CorridorTamworth Assembly Rooms welcomes all visitors, regardless of disability or mobility problems to all of its shows and events and endeavour to ensure that every visit is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The trained box office staff can help with advice and information and in addition to this large print, audio and Braille copies are available on request. Patrons with specific accessibility issues must make box office staff aware of their needs at the time of booking. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate your needs if we are not informed beforehand. The auditorium has raked seating with one aisle, with handrails.

An induction loop system is installed in the auditorium; this can be used with hearing aids set to the ‘T’ position.
 

wheelchairWheelchair Users
We have up to seven seats in the auditorium available for wheelchair users, if a carers seat is required staff must be informed at the time of booking. There is one toilet that is wheelchair accessible. We have a ramp to the entrance of the building as well as a lift to the backstage area.

parkingParking
There are a limited number of disabled car parking spaces adjacent to the theatre with others available in the car park opposite and in Church Street outside St. Editha's Church. A map detailing all disabled car parking spaces is available on request.

strobe lighting iconStrobe Lighting
When a performance contains strobe lighting, signs will be displayed on the entrance doors. If you have concerns regarding the timing and duration of the strobe lighting please speak to a member of staff who can obtain the information for you.

guide dogGuide Dogs and Hearing Dogs
Trained dogs are welcome to accompany patrons but please let booking staff know at the time of booking. If required, water can be available for your dog – please speak to a member of staff who will be happy to help.

familyChildren and Families
Children are welcome. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. If you bring children into the theatre you must accept responsibility for them. Pushchairs are only allowed into the auditorium if the show isn’t sold out and if they are not obstructing fire escape routes and aisles. Accompanying adults will be asked to remove any noisy infants. Everyone must have a valid ticket and occupy a seat.
